The Isle of Skye is a magical place. You feel it everywhere. Beauty above, below, and everywhere in between.

Along with the beauty, there are the fairies. Yesterday we hiked Fairy Glen; today, it was the Fairy Pools.
Most of the pictures below are Jay’s: it was not easy to catch the fairies but he did a creditable job. Take this one for instance, clearly a fairy hot tub:

Deep pools of blue and green that swirl and fall

A whole world in miniature

Tomorrow, on to Mull.

I have maybe run out of superlatives for describing your photos! I have so many questions (as always). I need to know how Jay settled on all of these places you are visiting. Granted they are all magical but then there are many amazing spots in this world. Perhaps you have been to the others, you being extensive world travelers. I can’t believe you came upon a wedding! Or did Jay plan that? And, how did you drive to the Isle of Skye? I see you will drive to Mull as well. I am captivated by all of this. How lovely to be on such an adventure.

You are just so wonderful ❤️
We will spend as much time as it takes to answer all of your questions when we return, even if it means we have to live with you for a week or so. But some answers now:
We made a small change in our itinerary and spent a couple of extra days in London, flew from London to Inverness and drove from there to the Isle of Skye (over the Skye Bridge). Then today, we drove to the Isle of Mull (drove four hours, then got on the car ferry to Mull).
We spent many hours talking about where we wanted to go, and had many conversations with people about their favorite places (which is how we got to Portugal, Riomaggiore, and The Hebrides). We had some favorite places we wanted to return to (Prague, Amsterdam) and places we wanted to see (Barcelona, Llubiana). So it emerged, with a LOT of work on Jay’s part.
Love you lots, thanks for being with us,
P.
